Ronacrete Rapid Primer – Fast Setting
Ronacrete Rapid Primer – Fast setting – is a pre-bagged cementitious bonding primer comprising polymer liquid and rapid setting cements. Rapid primer is used to provide a chemical bond between the substrate and new surfacing. It is only to be used with Ronacrete’s rapid setting mortars and concretes including RonaBond HB40 Ultra Rapid, RonaFloor Repair 1 Hour, RonaScreed Mortar and RonaScreed Concrete.
Rapid Primer – Fast Setting Uses
Mechanically prepare substrate in accordance with BS 8204 Part 3:1993. Provide structurally sound and clean substrate to receive high strength mortar / concrete. Damp the surface with potable water and apply to the damp surface. When repairing reinforced concrete do not damp reinforcing steel.
Mixing and application: Mix the primer using a drill and paddle mixer to form a creamy slurry. Using a brush or roller apply evenly over the surfaces ensuring total and uniform coverage taking care to avoid ponding. Only prime an area which can be covered by the rapid setting mortar/concrete within the working time of the primer.
